The only thing I can see to disagree with on this woman's summarization of  the current situation with regards to the clash between Islam & the west is that I don't think you can blanket-categorize every Muslim in this way.  Just the same as you can't lump every Christian into the "born-again-televangelist" category.  She makes a hell of a point, though…

Man, it was nice to be able to get away from everything for a long weekend.  We were able to take the 3rd off, so we had four whole days of sailing & relaxing down in VA.  Actually got Irie out three times over the weekend, & even grounded her in the creek on Weds morning.  Heh.  Well, I guess I had to do it at least once, right?  Never again will I underestimate the tides.  I've got photos ready to be posted, so hopefully I'll get 'em up here shortly.  In the meantime, check out this clip (DivX) of Aiko trotting along the creek bed at low tide.  Needless to say, he was completely worn out by the end of the weekend.

We got to watch all of the World Cup games, & all I've got to say is: ALLEZ LES BLEUS!!!  Man, did they ever come back from a craptacular start to this tourney.  Now they're in the FINALS!  Craziness.  I've gotten phone calls  from JP after almost every game lately, but we just can't seem to connect.  I'll definitely be watching the finals on Sunday in Annapolis.

Congrats to Mandy & Fab, who'll officially tie the knot this Saturday!!!
