Tiki bar prep week photo blog

I’ve started a photo blog here that I’ll be posting to for the rest of this week. This gallery will chronicle everything that not only the Tiki Bar, but the rest of the town of Solomons does to get ready for Tiki bar opening. So many people simply show up for the opening, & don’t really know what goes on in the preparation stages.

Although I’ve seen these stages for the last seven years, this year will be a bit different because of all the new construction going on. The Tiki Bar as we know it has certainly been transformed into a completely different animal.

c’mon man, let’s see the ‘day of’ pics! missed out on the actual thing, but there’s no harm in living vicariously through the debauchery of others…

Heh… wish I could indulge ya, but we bailed way early & went & saw Silent Hill. Rain + drunken SOMD’ers doesn’t make for a happy Trav-Trav

Yeah, true ‘nuf. The sad part is that the imagination can’t even touch the truth. Some pics’ll no doubt rise to haunt some of the revellers, probably just in time for next year’s event! A sadly treated and thankfully long-dead osprey can attest to that…
